GOA Introduces New Covid Guidelines, Casinos Still At 50% Capacity

The State of Goa has recently issued strict COVID guidelines for entering the state. The new procedures only allow fully vaccinated people with negative COVID tests within the last 72 hours of entry into the state.

In recent weeks Covid cases have been up ticking in Goa, and state officials are worried that public gatherings and unrestricted access to the state could aggravate the situation.

Goa Chief Minister Parmod Sawant recently stated that there would be no night curfews. However, casinos, water parks, cinema theatres, and entertainment parks are still only allowed to operate at 50% capacity. He also stated that organizers of various events in the state would have to ensure that guests carry these certificates.

Domestic Casinos

Domestic casinos in India have been limited for months now, and casino revenue has hit. Since the public restrictions are not limited to just casinos, the tourism industry has suffered as a whole.

Live dealer games are only permitted at offshore casinos or docked in the Mandovi River. Therefore the other casinos located on land can only offer electronic games.

Online India Casinos

Legal online India casinos are available to Indian residents via the internet with offshore gambling sites that operate legally outside of the country. Online casinos are open to all Indian states but do not consider local or state laws, so you are essentially playing at your own risk when you sign up.

To cater to Indian residents rupee casinos and other online betting sites have started to offer services and banking methods that are frequently used by Indian players.

While there have been illegal gambling busts in India over the years, to the best of our knowledge, no one has ever been charged with a crime for playing online casino games.
