Delta Corp has been granted a provisional approval to construct a new casino-style resort in Goa.
For those of you not familiar with Indian domestic casino gambling, Delta Corp. is India’s leading gaming operator with three floating casinos and three land-based casinos throughout Goa and Sikkim. Their floating casinos are currently located in the Mandovi River, but recent legislation will soon force the casinos to find a new home.
Not much is known about the new resort/casino expected to erect near the beaches in Goa. Still, the project has been granted in-principal approval from the local tourism authority.
Goa has long been one of India’s most prominent tourist destinations with luxurious beaches and a thriving nightlife. Still, like most touristy places around the world, 2020 has been hard on the industry. The coronavirus has currently infected over 10.4 million Indian residents and has temporarily banned visitors from around the world.
With travel restrictions and mask policies in place at many public establishments, a growing number of Indian residents have found solace in legal online Indian casinos. Online casinos are available to Indian residents over 18 in many cases and depending on the site you play.
