Goa Casinos To Remain On Lockdown Until May 10th

As India is currently dealing with one of the worst COVID outbreaks globally, restrictions have been ordered by the local government to help curb the spread of the coronavirus. Now, the restrictions set in place do not allow Goa casinos to open to the general public until May 10th, 2021.

In addition to casinos, restaurants, bars, hotels, and other various forms of entertainment are all prohibited from opening at this time. The new restrictions came directly from the Chief Minister of Goa Pramod Sawant.

A few weeks ago, local Goa casinos were allowed to operate at 50% capacity, but the virus has recently gotten worse. According to India.com, hospitals are now directed to give medicine to patients showing symptoms of COVID before test results are confirmed.

Other Casino Closures

In addition to Goa casinos, Delta Corp casinos in Sikkim are also closed. Across India, domestic casinos are only allowed in Goa, Sikkim, and Daman.

Other countries such as the Philippines are also currently under a casino lockdown as the virus threatens to take more lives.

Online Casino Options

With no local gambling options available at this time, many Indian gamblers are looking for alternate ways to bet on casino games, sports, and poker.

According to Indian gambling laws, residents can use online gambling services that will accept their registration. This includes casino gambling, sports betting, and online poker betting.

Online India casinos offer a slew of traditional casino games, including blackjack, baccarat, keno, live dealer games, roulette, and more. In addition to betting on casino games, many online casinos will also let you get your feet wet by playing free games until you are comfortable betting real money.

To entice Indian players, reputable India online casinos offer mobile options, rupee deposits, and more. To wager online, you must be over the age of 18 and be able to verify your identity before a payout can be issued.
